All data collected by companies should be the sole property of the person that it is being collected on. Companies should not be aloud to profit off data that they collect off of people, if a company wants to profit off of any single persons data they collect off of their usage they should enter into a contract with that person with some sort of royalty being paid if they do not want to do that then they should give said person the option to sell said data to any company of their choosing. it is time that we have laws about the use of people data. For to long people have been profiting off of people by collecting information about them and selling it when all of any information about any single person should be the sole property of that person not the company that collects it. The laws we currently have do not work with the digital age we are in.
